Traditions take over at JW Marriott Jaipur Resort & Spa

– A warm hearty cake mixing ceremony –

With the nip in the air and festivities doing rounds, JW Marriott Jaipur Resort & Spa gets the ball rolling with the traditional cake mixing ceremony. Held at the beautiful Sundarban Lawn at the resort itself on 6 November, Wednesday the ritual is a beautiful blend of togetherness and joy.

Commemorating the season of giving and camaraderie, the fun filled event saw a tweetup of all the guests from the resort. Celebrating whole heartedly the joie de vivre filled the resort as everyone got together kneading & mixing the rich cake ingredients while enjoying the live music. The beau ideal chefs at the restaurant pulled together oodles of nuts, dry fruits and delectable syrups for the gigantic mouth-watering cake to be made for Christmas. 

The traditional cake mixing ceremony dates back to 17 century wherein copious amounts of dry fruits and nuts were harvested and used in the making of plum cake; Celebrated with loved ones to add the sumptuous flavor to the coming year.

A special & affectionate way to celebrate the spirit of Christmas and New Year, the cake mixing ceremony blended total 58 kgs of delicious ingredients such as dry fruits- Almonds, apricots, raisins, dry figs and more! Ginger candy, Orange peel, Lemon peel, Black currant were amongst other saccharine ingredients hashed to the mixture, topped with flavorsome rums & syrups.
