In a humble endeavour to empower individuals with special needs, Holiday Inn Chennai OMR IT Expressway joined hands with NAAI – National Abilympics Association of India & Sarthak Education Trust to organize a cooking competition of differently abled individuals for South Zone Regional Abilympics.
While all the participants were sound professionals and were no different from others, this initiative resounded Holiday INN Chennai’s belief in NAAI’s motto: #HumaraHunarHumariPehchaan. All of the eight cooking participants & 1 baking participant were given a platform to project their culinary skills and become a part of cooking show at South Zone Regional Abilympics. Previously, these competitions have also been held in three other zones, namely West, North, South and then in East India, with its finale to be held at New Delhi.
A noble act that was aimed at promoting vocational skill competitions to discover and nurture the talent of persons with disabilities, it also aids in creating awareness in the society at large about their productive skills.
